  Esta es mi tercera maqueta a esta escala. En ella me decidí a envejecerla algo más, pues las dos anteriores quedaron muy limpias, quizá por miedo a esta escala tan pequeña.

 This is my first model at this scale. I decided to weather it  a bit more, since the other two were too clean perhaps because I was afraid of the tiny scale.
 

La maqueta no tiene nada que envidiar a sus gemelas mayores de Tamiya, pese a su escaso tamaño. Piezas muy finas, panelado inciso perfecto y encaje muy bueno. Quizá el único inconveniente, por decir algo, está en el transparente, que no ajusta igual de bien que el resto. Del montaje poco hay que decir, se hace en un par de horas y no necesitaremos masilla alguna.

The kit has nothing to envy Tamiya's larger kits in spite of its tiny size and shows crisply moulded parts, perfect engraved panel lines and a very good fitting. The only drawback, just to say one, is perhaps the fitting of the canopy. There isn't much to say about assembly, it just takes a couple of hours and there is no need to apply putty anywhere.

Las calcas son una auténtica maravilla. La caja incluye dos maquetas completas e incluye calcas para cuatro versiones también completas todas ellas. Además, para las decoraciones con el timón de cola en amarillo, incluye la posibilidad de colocar la calca amarilla con la esvástica y el número de serie, o bien la esvástica y el numeral por separado para pintar el timón. Yo elegí esta última opción. Las calcas son muy finas y responden muy bien a los productos Micro. Una vez barnizadas, no se notan en absoluto.

The decals are really fine. The box includes two complete kits and decals for up to four versions. Each version has a complete decal set too. You can choose two decals for the versions with yellow rudder: either a complete yellow decal which includes the swastika and the tail number, or a decal with just the swastika and the number so that you can paint the rudder. I chose this latter. Decals are quite thin and work well when Micro products are applied. Once varnished, they look perfect.

Con un pincel fino y pintura blanca de Vallejo muy diluida repasé las líneas de panel para darle un aspecto de desgaste, especialmente en los accesos al motor y las zonas próximas a la cabina, así como en las calcas de color negro para quitarles el aspecto de nuevas.

I retraced panel lines with a thinned coat of Vallejo white paint using a small brush to get a weathered aspect. I insisted on the engine panels, the areas next to the cockpit and the black decals to avoid they look brand new.

La parte inferior es de las que a mí me gustan, de esas en las que uno llega a pensar que el encargado de pintar estos aviones estaba "colocao" de morfina: gris verdoso, gris oscuro, aluminio, gris celeste... Un placer para los que nos gusta enmascarar.

I especially like this kind of undersides where one could think the painter was a bit dizzy: green grey, dark grey, aluminium, sky grey... A pleasure for those who like masking, as it's my case.

Ahora llega el turno de los óleos, dando bastante desgaste a las alas y sus encastres, y añadiendo algunos chorreoncillos que simulan escapes de fluidos. Por último, coloqué las antenas hechas con plástico estirado y restos de fotograbado.

Now is the turn for oils, applying a thorough weathering on wings and roots, and simulating fluid leakage with tiny trickles. Finally, I glued the aerials, which I made from plastic and PE scrap.
