Antes de empezar la tarea, sólo necesitamos una lámina de plástico de 0.75 mm cortada a la medida que queramos. En este caso se trata de un simple muro derruido que divide la escena en dos mitades, pero puede dársele la forma de otras estructuras más complejas. Previamente he cortado cerillas de madera cuadradas en dos medidas básicas. El corte es mejor hacerlo con una cizalla o un cutter de hoja ancha y muy afilada para evitar astillar demasiado la madera. Los ladrillos también pueden obtenerse de tiras de plástico, pero me interesaba más la textura irregular que tiene la madera al cortarla para simular un muro antiguo. Después no hay más que ir pegando nuestros pedestres ladrillos a intervalos con cianocrilato sobre la lámina de plástico. En este caso tampoco importa si alguno no está colocado recto o sobresale un poco de los demás.

Before setting to work you just need 0.30'' sheet plastic cut to the measure you want. In this case I wanted to make an old almost ruined wall which split the scene in two halves, but you can do any other structure. Wooden square matches are also useful to get the bricks. I cut them with a length cutter in two basic measures. The cut is more precise if you use a wide blade very sharp cutter, this way you avoid splintering the small wooden pieces. Obviously you can also get the bricks from strip plastic, but I was interested in getting the rough texture of wood for the old bricks. Use CA glue to align the bricks on the sheet and don't worry if some of them are not straight or stick up the rest.

A continuación, y tras repetir el proceso por el otro lado del plástico para obtener un muro de cierta consistencia (unos 5 mm de grosor), simulamos la argamasa con masilla de Tamiya de manera irregular. Al no necesitar diluir la masilla, la aplico directamente con un palillo de dientes. Una vez seca, uso una lija de grano grueso para eliminar pequeños restos de masilla mal adheridos.

After repeating the process on the other side to get the thickness I need (some 0.19''), I make the mortar by applying Tamiya grey putty unevenly with a toothpick. The thicker the putty, the better look the mortar gets, so you don't need to thin it. Once everything is dry, just sand smoothly with a rough paper to eliminate small putty imperfections.

Y este es el aspecto por una de las caras. Ya sólo queda pintar. ¡Anda que no da el pego!
