This is an easy way to enhance the look of a radial engine even at a small scale such as 1/72.

Necesitaremos los siguientes materiales y herramientas: un bote de cianocrilato, una broca muy pequeña (0'4 o 0'3 mm), hilo de cobre fino, tijeras y pinzas.

We need these tools and materials: CA glue, a very small drill (0.011 inch), copper wire, scissors and tweezers.

Comenzamos la operación tras haber montado y pintado el motor (en este caso un Nakajima Ha-115 del Ki-43-III Ko de AML) y haber igualmente pintado algunos hilos de cobre del color adecuado (rojo, beige, etc.)
 
We start after having assembled and painted the engine (in this case an Ha-115 from the AML Ki-43-III Ko kit) and also the wire in the desired colour (usually red or cream).

Con la broca de 0'3 mm abrimos dos pequeños agujeros entre cada uno de los cilindros (1).
   
Open two small holes between the cylinders (1) with a 0.011 inch drill.

A continuación insertamos los cables en ellos fijándolos con una mínima cantidad de cianocrilato. Al secarse podemos girar y cortar con cuidado los cables de ignición. El extremo se vuelve a fijar con una gotita de cianocrilato.
 
Then dip the tip of the wire in CA glue to get a tiny drop. Insert it in each hole. When it dries, you can shape and cut the wire. The other end is also glued to the engine.

Resultado final tras terminar todos los cilindros. El número 1 corresponde al motor de un Hayabusa Modelo II de Hasegawa, el número 2 es el motor de AML.
 
Final look once all the cylinders have been finished. Engine number 1 belongs to Hasegawa Ki-43-II, and number 2 is the AML engine.
