Este modelo de Fujimi fue mi segundo avión. Y fue también la primera ocasión en que apliqué colores al pastel a un modelo. Comencé por detallar y pintar el interior excepto la ametralladora trasera (primera foto), pues decidí que la parte posterior de la carlinga iba a ir abierta. Ésta viene en una sola pieza, por lo que la operación de cortar el plástico fue difícil y a punto estuvo de costar un disgusto, pero los resultados no fueron del todo malos. Al menos logré lo que me proponía. |
This Fujimi model was my second plane. And it was also the first time I used pastels with a model. I started detailing and painting the cockpit except the rear machine-gun (first picture) because I wanted to show it open. I had to cut this part and it was so difficult that I almost spoilt the model. After all the results were not completely bad. At least I got what I tried to do. |

| A continuación me atreví a trabajar y pintar la hélice en lugar del fuselaje y las alas, incluso probé a pintarla antes de tiempo. El ensamblaje del resto de las piezas no fue problema, pues venían muy bien cortadas. Apenas hubo que lijarlas. | Then I built the propeller instead of the fuselage and wings, and even painted it too soon. The rest of the assembly parts were no problem since they were well shaped and cut. I seldom had to sand them down. |

| A la hora de pintar comencé por la parte inferior. Simplemente lo decidí por llevar un color más claro y quizás ser más susceptible de retocar en caso de desastre. Sobre estas líneas puede apreciarse el "enmascaramiento" tan estupendo que le hice a la carlinga y a la hélice con cinta celo y plástico (!), pero fue eficaz. | I started painting the bottom. I simply decided it because the color was clearer and the mistakes would be corrected better. Above these lines you can see the wonderful "masking" I used in the cockpit and propeller (cello tape and plastic (!), but it was useful. |

| La aplicación de los pasteles para simular manchas de humo y suciedad fue una delicia. Lo peor del modelo fueron las calcas. Algunas estaban en mal estado y se deterioraron al secarse. Lo intenté arreglar con tono plateado para imitar el color del fuselaje bajo la pintura. | I really enjoyed the use of pastels to show smoke and fuel stains under the fuselage. The worst thing of the model were the decals. It was frustrating to see some of them break when dried. I tried to solve it by painting a silver shade to imitate the waste of the original colour. |
