Estimado visitante, Te doy la bienvenida a j-models y te agradezco tu visita. Este sitio web es una sencilla vitrina virtual donde mostrar una de mis aficiones. Creo que si algo tenemos en común los modelistas de diversa edad, origen y condición es la afición por la historia y la expresión artística. Yo desde luego no me considero un talento, ni creo que tenga mucho que enseñar. Si me apuras, lo que publico aquí es en gran parte un reflejo de lo que aprendo de los demás. Mi historia no es muy original. Comencé con el modelismo cuando aún no era adolescente, allá en los 70, quizás debido a mi afición a leer historia e historias de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Normalmente los modelos no me duraban más allá de una tarde y ni siquiera los pintaba. Luego, con un simple pincel y tres botes de pintura fueron adquiriendo color. Me inicié construyendo carros de combate, posteriormente descubrí los barcos a escala 1/700, que por entonces comenzaban a llegar a España, y por último me dediqué a los aviones. La falta de espacio en casa tal vez me hizo escoger instintivamente las escalas pequeñas de Monogram, Matchbox, Fujimi o Airfix. Tras abandonar la afición durante muchos años, ahora puede decirse que estoy en una segunda época. A diferencia de la primera, las posibilidades de Internet aumentan las relaciones y las oportunidades de aprender de otros modelistas de cualquier parte. En j-models encontrarás mis inquietudes en el amplio abanico que ofrece esta bonita afición. Como podrás comprobar, mis preferencias no han cambiado y se decantan sobre todo por los modelos militares de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, y en especial por los relacionados con la guerra en el Pacífico. Mis escalas preferidas son 1/35 en vehículos, 1/700 en barcos de la serie japonesa Water Line y 1/72 para los aviones. He dividido este sitio en varias secciones que espero puedan interesarte:
Construir un sitio web no es fácil. Si además lo haces en dos lenguas sin ser bilingüe, es a veces esquizofrénico, algo así como tener doble personalidad, pero es también una forma de llegar a más gente. Espero que sepas perdonar mis errores y erratas cuando los encuentres, ya que son más hijos de mi ignorancia que de mi pereza. Gracias una vez más por dedicar algo de tu tiempo a este sitio. Dear visitor, Welcome to j-models and thanks for your visit. This web site wants to be a simple virtual shelf where I can show one of my hobbies. I think that if modellers with different ages, origin and condition have something in common, it's their taste for history and artistic expression. Of course I don't think I am a talented modeler or someone who has something to teach. If pressed, I'd say that what I publish here is a mirror of what I've learnt from others. My story is not very original. I started modelling before I was a teenager, back in the 70s, perhaps because I used to read WWII history and stories. At first, I usually finished a model in just a few hours and didn't paint them. Then, with only a brush and a few bottles of paint I coloured them. I started building tanks, some time later I discovered 1/700 Japanese waterline models which were starting to be sold in Spain by then, and finally I devoted myself to aircraft. The lack of room at home made me choose, almost unconsciously, Monogram. Matchbox, Fujimi or Airfix small scales. After leaving the hobby for many years, now I am in my second stage. Unlike the first one, the Internet has increased the relations between modellers and the chances to learn from people everywhere. In j-models you will find my preferences in the wide range of possibilities this beautiful hobby can offer. As you can see, my picks haven't changed much after all this time, and I prefer WWII military models, especially those related to the Pacific front. My favourite scales are 1/35 for vehicles, 1/700 for waterline ships and 1/72 for aircraft. I have divided the site into some sections that I hope they can be interesting for you:
Building a web site is not easy. If you even write it in two languages, it is sometimes schizophrenic, something like having two souls sort of, but it is also a chance to meet more people. I hope you forgive my mistakes when you find them, because they are more a consequence of my ignorance than my laziness. Thanks again for spending some of your time in this site.
